Bio

After careers at Indiana University, Cook Incorporated (now Cook Medical), and as a corporate trainer, I opened my counseling and consulting practice in 1994. A National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certified to interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and Strong Interest Inventory®, I offer strategies, coaching, and support for personal and career transition. My strengths include being an excellent listener, writer, and communicator.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, I’ve lived in and loved Bloomington since 1975 and express my appreciation for my adopted hometown through involvement in a range of community projects. I’ve been Neutral Chair for the worker adjustment committee during closing of Thomson Consumer Electronics and downsizing of the local GE plant. I'm an active advocate for the arts and have served on the Corporation for Capital Improvements and Attractions and the boards of directors of Lotus Education and Arts Foundation, Buskirk-Chumley Theater Management, Bloomington Area Arts Council, and Cardinal Stage Company. Additionally I was honored to be appointed to two terms on the Indiana Arts Commission and to the board of Arts Midwest, the regional arts organization serving the nine states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and beyond.

I spend my spare time enjoying the arts, family and friends, and travel and always have an eye on ways to build community and live mindfully.
